I was born in Mörschied and grew up in Veitsrodt. After school, training as a banker and studying, I worked in Frankfurt, among other places, until I was drawn back to my beautiful homeland in 1983. Since 1998 I am the 1st chairman of the "Interessengemeinschaft Veitsrodter Prämienmarkt", before that I was the managing director for 20 years.

Most of all I like to spend time on the Veitsrodt market grounds, whether at the premium market, autumn market or at the meanwhile monthly regional markets in the new market hall and "under the old oaks". This market place "under the old oaks" has its own special attraction with its very own flair.

Besides my main hobby, the Veitsrodt markets, I like to hike - with a nice Nahe wine in my backpack - on the "Traumschleifen" of our region. My favorite loops are "Kirschweiler Festung", "Mittelalterpfad" and "Nohener Naheschleife" - pure nature, magnificent views and hiking pleasure at the highest level.
