At the “Erbeskopf” (816m), the highest mountain in Rhineland-Palatinate, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the slopes spanning two kilometres. Skiers and snowboarders alike can enjoy the thrill on the three slopes and a practice slope. Even during the evening, the winter sports centre in Erbeskopf offers pure slope enjoyment. Thanks to flood lighting, night time skiing is possible; on Fridays the slopes are even open until 10 PM.
If you’re looking to make your first attempts on the boards while in the “Erbeskopf” region, you can take a ski or snowboard course at the local ski school.
Friends of tobogganing can enjoy two runs, as well as the family slope.
The bistro situated in “Hunsrückhaus” and the “Schirmbar” at the foot of the “Erbeskopf” are great places to stop off.
