The WasserWissensWerk is the visitor and information centre for everything to do with drinking water and is located directly at the Steinbach dam (Steinbachtalsperre) near Kempfeld.

In the interactive exhibition the visitor learns everything worth knowing on a tour about water production and treatment, water distribution in the region and how worth protecting our limited and valuable resource is.

Those who wish to do so can take an exciting route with exploration sheets in the form of a rally, alone or in groups in the exhibition. In the integrated WaterLab, the fun of trying things out is the main focus. Children, but also adults, can carry out water experiments independently with experimental boxes on the subject of "Properties of Water". The water playground located at the WasserWissensWerk offers a welcome change in dealing with the topic of water.

From the WasserWissensWerk, you can also set out on the approximately 13 km long hiking Traumschleife "Köhlerpfad am Steinbach", which leads around the Steinbach dam (Steinbach Talsperre).
