Our personal highlight in the EdelSteinLand is right in the neighborhood of our camping site "Harfenmühle": the historical water grinding mill Biehl.

In the grinding shop you feel like you are back in the last century. I especially like the creaking of the water wheel that drives the old tools of the grindery. I am always amazed by all the old machines for sawing, drumming and grinding. As a technology freak, I am fascinated by the original Edinson carbon filament light bulb that still works and is in operation.

Ernstotto Biehl shows and explains in an understandable way for young and old the working world of an almost forgotten traditional craft of our region and shows how under difficult conditions with water, muscle power and craftsmanship a shiny and sparkling gemstone is produced from a rough stone.

And our absolute highlight in nature is the section of the Saar-Hunsrück Climb between Wildenburg and Mörschieder Burr - the boulder heaps of Taunus quartzite there are an absolute nature experience in the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park that will remain in the hiker's memory for a long time.
